Sam DiFranco is Co-Founder and the Executive Business Director at Affordable Counseling Center and Star Point Counseling Center. He will answer any questions you may have regarding counseling services, your insurance benefits, and the sliding scale. Sam will help you set up your appointment in an easy, hassle-free manner. Sam is also captain of an ice hockey team.
Clarissa Crystal-Belle, Licensed Mental Health Counselor L.M.H.C., is Co-Founder and the Executive Clinical Director at Affordable Counseling Center and Star Point Counseling Center. She has over 20 years of clinical therapy experience and has been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (L.M.H.C.) since 1997.
With Clarissa's extensive experience providing therapy for children, teens, individuals, couples, and families, she has helped many people with issues of depression, stress, anxiety, relationships, marriage counseling, family counseling, family dynamic issues, separation and divorce, grief and loss, parenting skills, P.T.S.D., repeated negative behavior as well as addictions. Clarissa works very closely with the Registered Interns supervising all of their cases to insure all of our clients receive the quality of care they deserve. All of the Registered Intern's can help people with stress, depression, anxiety, marriage counseling, relationship counseling, couples counseling, family counseling, family dynamics, children counseling, parenting skills, grief and loss and pre marital counseling.
Clarissa and her associates at Star Point Counseling Center are focused on providing highly effective counseling techniques in the Brandon, Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Riverview, Plant City, Ruskin, and Apollo Beach areas in a relaxed atmosphere of acceptance and compassion.
Clarissa recently published a new book called Therapy in Action. She takes on the toughest, neediest kids and families in her role as a therapist for troubled children. In this fascinating glimpse into real-life case studies, Clarissa seeks to “awaken the reader to a new way of looking at this population and a more effective way to address their needs.”
Frances J. "Tansie" Walker, Ed.s, L.M.H.C.
Tansie received her B.S. in Psychology and Sociology from Georgia State University, she received her M.S. in Community Counseling from Georgia State University and her Ed.s in Family Systems Counseling from Georgia State University. Tansie has a tremendous amount of experience in couples counseling, marriage counseling, family counseling, family dynamics, family systems, helping people who are suffering from depression, stress, anxiety, bi polar disorder and trauma.
Audra Colleen Davis, L.M.H.C. (Colleen)
Colleen received her B.A. in Psychology from West Virginia University. Colleen received her M.A. in counseling from Marshall University Graduate College. Colleen headed the NAMI (National Alliance for the Mentally Ill) meetings at WVU-P. Colleen has extensive experience with couples counseling, teens, children counseling, family counseling and individuals. She has helped people with depression, anxiety, stress, abuse victims, diverse cultures, substance abuse, chronically mentally ill and clients in crisis.
Charles Rhodes, Ph.D., L.M.H.C.
Charles Rhodes is a psychotherapist specializing in individual, couples and family psychotherapy, and maintains a private practice in Lutz, FL.
With over 35 years experience as a clinician, and a graduate of West Virginia University specializing in sex therapy and hypnosis he is currently serving as a private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among his areas of expertise are sexual issues, relationships, parenting, stress management, anger management, habit cessation and conflict resolution.
In addition, Dr. Rhodes has presented at State conferences and to general audiences on topics ranging from Use of Early Recollections in Therapy to Relationships and Parent Education.
Dr. Rhodes is a practical, interactive, solution-focused therapist. His treatment approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients resolve current problems and long-standing patterns. He incorporates a blend of conventional and alternatives approaches, drawing upon a variety of styles and techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful for each client. With sensitivity and compassion, he works with each client to help them build on their strengths to identify and achieve life goals.

Steve Foster, L.M.H.C.
Steve has been a Mental Health Counselor at Star Point Counseling Center for over 4 years. Steve received his M.S. in Mental Health from Troy University. Steve also has a M.A. in Business Administration from Touro University International and a M.S. in International Relations from Troy University. Steve completed his post Masters Degree 2 year Registered Internship under the supervision of Clarissa Crystal-Belle, L.M.H.C. at Star Point Counseling Center. Steve is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional as well as a Registered Yoga Teacher. He has a broad range of experience in helping individuals, family counseling and marriage counseling. Steve helps people overcome anxiety, stress, communication skills, separation and divorce, relationship counseling, family dynamics, depression, as well as other challenges.
Aleida E. Hernandez, L.M.H.C.
Aleida received her M.A. in Counselor Education in 1989 and became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in 1997. Aleida is bi lingual and has extensive experience helping people with intensive crisis as well as helping couples, families, teens and children with stress, anxiety, bi polar disorder and depression. Aleida also helps couples with couples counseling, marriage counseling, family counseling & family dynamics.
Aleida has provided extensive mental health and social services to those with chronic and acute physical, mental/emotional, substance abuse and behavioral challenges. She has worked in a variety of settings, including community outpatient, private practice, intensive outpatient, and partial hospitalization programs.
Carly Reinoehl, L.M.H.C.
Carly received her B.A. in Psychology/Sociology from Northwest Missouri State University in 2009. Carly received her M.A in Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University in 2013. She also studied Abroad at Maastricht University-Psychology Department-Maastricht, Netherlands in 2007.
Carly has extensive experience with children and family systems counseling with family services counseling. Carly has experience with crisis counseling, marriage counseling, anxiety counseling, individuals with depression, stress and anger management counseling.
Jordan Ostermann Registered Social Work Intern
Jordan received her B.S. in Family and Child Sciences from Florida State University, she received her M.A. in Social Work from University of South Florida. Jordan has experience in couples counseling, marriage counseling, children, teens, stress, depression, anxiety, juvenile delinquents & high risk youths. Jordan has special training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Attachment Trauma.

Stephanie received her M. A. in Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University. Stephanie received her B.A. in Psychology/ Liberal Arts from University of Central Florida. Stephanie has experience with couples counseling, marriage counseling, stress, depression, anxiety, children, teens, family dynamics and child abuse.

Mathew received his Master's Degree in Social Work from University of Central Florida. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from University, Owensboro, KY. Mathew received a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Criminology/ Sociology from University of South Florida and an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts/ Psychology from Hillsborough Community College.
Mathew has experience working with Veterans, intervention strategies, escalated assessment on crisis intervention, family counseling, marriage counseling, couples counseling, depression, stress, anxiety. Mathew works with children, teens and adults.
Abby Mills, Registered Mental Health Intern
Abby is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern. She has experience in trauma, sexual abuse, couples issues, depression, anxiety, marriage and family counseling, and life transitions. Abby works with adults, teens and children. She offers quality services on a sliding scale based on income level.
Brittany Russell, Receptionist and Billing Specialist
Brittany graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from University of Wisconsin-River Falls and with a Minor in Criminal Justice. Brittany is working on her Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling. Brittany has been a part of our team for over 2 years and is now working on her internship for her Masters Degree. She is only in the office on Mondays andFridays now due to strict school and internship schedule.
